| Shinichi's practice includes mergers and acquisitions (M&A) taxation, international taxation, employee incentive taxation, Japanese corporate and individual taxation, tax litigation, and other direct and indirect Japanese tax matters. |

Shinichi contributes so-called "one-stop services" for our clients by adding and integrating tax services into the legal services provided by other practice groups within the firm. He has mastered techniques for tax litigation in Japan.
Prior to joining our firm, Shinichi worked at Ernst & Young (Tokyo) from 1993 to 1994 and the Coopers & Lybrand International Tax Office (Tokyo) from 1988 to 1991.

Shinichi received an M.B.A. from Tsukuba University in 1992, and a B.A. from Gakushuin University in 1984. Shinichi is qualified as a Licensed Tax Attorney, and he completed the Tax Litigation Counsel System Graduate Training Course at the Graduate School of the University of Tsukuba in 2004.
