Mikako focuses her practice in the areas of regulatory law, health care and hospital law, pharmaceutical and biotechnology-related laws, antitrust law, and unfair trade practices law. Mikako assists major companies from the pharmaceutical, nutritional supplement, and food industries, with the interpretation and implementation of Food & Drug and other regulatory compliance obligations. Through her diverse practice, Mikako has gained in-depth expertise in localizing ingredients, reviewing labels and advertisements for misleading descriptions and nutritional claims, recalling products, and addressing consumer claims. Mikako received an LL.B. from the University of Tokyo in 1956. She is a member of the Dai-ichi Tokyo Bar Association. National Director of Plan International.
