Haruhiko focuses his practice on securitisation, real estate finance, Financial Instruments and Exchange Law, Investment Trust Law and finance transactions. Haruhiko has extensive experience in real estate securitisation, public offering of J-REITs, securitisation of loan receivables (especially in the structuring of RMBS, CMBS and ABS), TMK bonds, structured finance, advice of Financial Instrument and Exchange Law, Asset Securitisation Law, Investment Trust Law, capital markets, securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, tender offer buyout and cross-border transactions. Represented many leading financial institutions with respect to their real estate securitisation and financing bonds issued by TMKs, Japan limited liability companies incorporated under Asset Securitization Law. Advised a major Japanese bank in connection with its public offering bonds issued by an SPC backed by a residential mortgage originated by the bank (RMBS). Acted for a listed Japanese J-REIT corporation with respect to its public offering of shares and initial listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Represented international and domestic financial institutions and asset managers in connection with real estate non-recourse loans. Haruhiko is fluent in both English and Japanese (native). Haruhiko graduated from the University of Tokyo with an LL.B. in 1994, and the University of Pennsylvania Law School with an LL.M. in 2002. Haruhiko was admitted as an attorney in Japan in 1996 and qualified in New York in 2003.
